Job summary

City of El Segundo seeks a qualified Paramedic to join its open-competitive recruitment. The role offers a monthly salary of $9,856 to $11,675.01, plus a Paramedic Incentive of $776.36 per month and a $10,000 signing bonus for the Volunteering Binding Arbitration Agreement.

Applicants must be at least 18, have a High School diploma/GED, complete an accredited academy and obtain State Firefighter I within six months.

Job description

This is an Open-Competitive recruitment. This position is open until filled; however, candidates are encouraged to apply immediately. Only online applications will be accepted for this position. • Salary Effective July 1, 2025 - $9,856 to $11,675.01 per month
• Paramedic Incentive - $776.36 per month
• $10,000 Bonus Payment for signing Volunteering Binding Arbitration Agreement
• A combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and skills may be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and skills would be:
  Experience: Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  
  Education: Graduation from High School or GED equivalency successful completion of a California State Fire Marshal Accredited Academy and possession of a State Firefighter I certificate are required within six (6) months of appointment.
