Job summary

OHSU is seeking a Fire and Life Safety Systems Program Manager to lead a comprehensive fire and life safety program across the university. The role involves collaboration with EHS, Facilities, Design & Construction, and external stakeholders to ensure compliance, reliability, and integration of safety systems.

The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of related experience, strong knowledge of NFPA/building codes, and the ability to coordinate with AHJs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree focused on fire protection engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of fire protection engineering principles and building codes.
• Experience interfacing with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) and regulatory coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage fire and life safety systems programs across the institution.
• Evaluate system performance, identify gaps, and develop strategic improvements.
• Provide design guidance on front-end planning, programming, and reviews of capital projects.
• Coordinate plan reviews, inspections, and regulatory communications with AHJs.
• Develop policies, procedures, and training for life safety programs.
• Support emergency response and incident investigations.
