Job summary

Securitas US Business Unit is seeking a Fire Life & Safety Director (FLSD) to oversee fire and life safety operations at a residential property in Manhattan. You will ensure FDNY regulatory compliance and lead emergency response with a professional presence.

Ideal candidates have a NYS FLS Director Certification, a NYS Security Guard License, and at least 1 year in fire life safety or building security, with strong leadership and communication skills for quick decision-making.

Qualifications

• Valid NYS Fire Life & Safety Director Certification (F-89 or equivalent).
• Valid NYS Security Guard License required.
• Minimum 1 year of fire life safety or building security experience.
• Strong emergency response, leadership, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the designated Fire Life & Safety Director, ensuring compliance with all FDNY codes and regulations.
• Respond to fire alarms, emergencies, and life safety incidents, coordinating response efforts as required.
• Monitor and operate fire life safety systems, access control, CCTV, and alarm systems.
• Conduct inspections of post areas, safety equipment, and security systems to ensure readiness.
• Review daily memos, alerts, and security notifications to stay informed.
