The role requires a NYS Security Guard License, F-89 Fire Life Safety Director Certification with Active Shooter Training, and proven experience in building security or fire safety.

Qualifications

• Valid NYS Security Guard License – Required.
• Valid F-89 Fire Life Safety Director Certification with Active Shooter Training – Required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in building security, fire safety, law enforcement, or related fields.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and security software.
• Ability to remain composed in high-stress situations.
• Reliable transportation and availability for scheduled shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage lobby operations during the evening shift.
• Maintain a visible and professional presence throughout the building.
• Monitor life safety systems and report any deficiencies.
• Respond promptly and calmly to emergencies, alarms, and elevator entrapments.
• Enforce building access policies using card access and visitor management systems.
• Supervise and support building staff, ensuring adherence to safety procedures.
• Monitor CCTV and other security systems to detect suspicious or unsafe activity.
• Conduct fire extinguisher inspections and identify fire hazards.
• Maintain thorough logs and prepare detailed incident and inspection reports.
• Assist with drills, training, and emergency response planning.
