Job summary

Victory Fire Protection LLC in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, is hiring a Fire Extinguisher Field Technician with kitchen hood suppression licensing. You will travel to various sites to inspect, service, and repair portable fire extinguishers in accordance with NFPA 10, with on-the-job training available for the right candidate.

Ideal candidates have a strong work ethic, good communication skills, and the ability to document service data and interact with clients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years experience in fire protection or life safety preferred, but training may be provided.
• Valid Driver's License with a clean MVR.
• Denver Fire Extinguisher Inspection License and Kitchen hood suppression License required.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine visual and physical inspections of portable fire extinguishers.
• Inspect, test and document emergency and exit lighting systems.
• Identify deficiencies, generate service reports, and tag equipment.
• Document and upload service data, inspection reports, and work orders using a tablet.
• Communicate findings to clients and recommend repairs or additional services.
• Inspect, test, and service kitchen hood suppression systems.
• Maintain organized service vehicle, equipment, and tools.

Fire Extinguisher Technician Position Overview

Currently, we're seeking a dependable, highly driven individual for the position of Fire Extinguisher Field Technician with kitchen hood suppression licensing. In this role, you will travel to various commercial, residential, and industrial sites to inspect, service, and repair Portable Fire Extinguishers in accordance with the NFPA 10 codes. Experience is preferred but for the right candidate, Victory Fire Protection will offer on-the-job training. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and have great communication/customer service skills, as they will have direct interaction with Victory Fire Protection’s service base.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine visual and physical inspections of portable fire extinguishers.
• Inspect, test and document emergency and exit lighting systems.
• Identify deficiencies, generate accurate service reports, and properly tag equipment.
• Accurately document and upload all service data, inspection reports, and work orders using a company-issued tablet.
• Communicate effectively with clients to explain the inspection findings and recommend necessary repairs or other services that may be needed.
• Inspect, test, and service kitchen hood suppression systems
• Maintain a well-organized and stocked company service vehicle, equipment, and tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of experience in the fire protection or life safety industry preferred but willing to train for the right individual.
• Valid Driver's License with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Ability to familiarize with local fire codes and OSHA safety standards.
• Must have Denver Fire Extinguisher Inspection License. Must have Kitchen hood suppression License.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work outdoors or in varying commercial environments.
• Strong work ethic, dependable, and a high level of customer service professionalism.

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $30.00 to $40.00 per hour, depending on experience.
