Job summary

Firetronics, Inc. is seeking a dedicated technician to perform annual maintenance, six-year service, recharges, hydrotesting and replacements on fire extinguishers. You will dismantle units, inspect components, recharge with approved agents, and ensure conformity of equipment with safety standards.

The role also involves installing cabinets, supporting sales efforts, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment in our on-site facilities. Training is provided for specialty duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Driver’s License with Clean Driving Record.
• Current Extinguisher Permit (If new to industry, training provided).

• Dismantle extinguishers and examine tubing, horns, head gaskets, cutter discs, and other parts for defects. replaces worn or damaged parts.
• Clean extinguishers and recharge with various agents.
• Test extinguishers for conformity with legal specifications.

• Facilitate and support sales of fire extinguishers.

• Test extinguishers for conformity with legal specifications.
• Install cabinets and brackets to hold extinguishers.
• Facilitate and support sales of fire extinguishers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • or one to three years related experience and/or training
  • or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Driver’s License with Clean Driving Record.
• Current Extinguisher Permit (If new to industry, will train and provide Contracted Fire College admission, lodging and per diem).

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Walk Stairs.
• Work off ladder.
• Lift at least 50 lbs.
