Job summary

UniFirst First Aid + Safety is seeking a reliable Portable Fire Extinguisher Technician to inspect, service, and maintain portable extinguishers and emergency lighting. You will train teammates, assist with inspections, and support sales of fire services and products to grow the customer base.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• NFPA Extinguisher Certification/License required.
• Experience with NFPA 10 inspections and standards.
• Fire Extinguisher License as required by local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform portable fire extinguisher and emergency/exit lighting inspections, service, repair, and maintenance.
• Train team members on inspection and service tasks.
• Provide technical support and assist with coverage for vacations/absences.
• Conduct customer onsite audits and prepare quotes for fire services.
• Present and demonstrate fire-related products/services to customers.
• Support service department to ensure customer satisfaction.
