Job summary

Firetronics, Inc is seeking an experienced Fire Extinguisher Service Technician to join our growing Central Florida team. The role covers inspection, maintenance, servicing, testing, and replacement of portable extinguishers and related equipment.

The ideal candidate has a strong safety mindset, can travel to customer sites, and delivers top-notch service while supporting sales of fire protection products. Training opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–3 years of related experience or training preferred, or equivalent education/experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Current Fire Extinguisher Permit preferred.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to customer locations.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform annual maintenance and 6-year service on portable fire extinguishers.
• Recharge extinguishers, perform hydrostatic testing, and replacements.
• Disassemble extinguishers and inspect parts for wear or damage.
• Replace worn parts and components as needed.
• Clean, recharge, and service extinguishers per applicable procedures.
• Test extinguishers to meet safety and regulatory requirements.
• Install fire extinguisher cabinets, brackets, and related equipment.
• Assist in identifying customer needs and supporting sales of related products.
• Maintain a professional appearance and provide excellent customer service in the field.
