Jensen Hughes in the UK is seeking Fire Engineers at all levels to join our growing teams across Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham and London.

You will contribute to fire protection projects, develop fire safety strategies, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with design teams, clients, and our Forensics division on a range of assignments. Chartered status encouraged; right to work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Experience in fire protection/consultancy preferred.
• Chartered status sought or in progress is a plus.
• Right to work in the UK.

Description du poste

• Supporting or leading the delivery of large and complex projects, ensuring successful outcomes for clients.
• Developing and reviewing fire safety strategies across all building types in design, construction, and operational phases.
• Contributing to or managing Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modelling and other software tools such as CFAST, Pyrosim, and Pathfinder to provide alternative fire engineering solutions.
• Carrying out fire safety surveys, inspections, and site assessments on a variety of projects.
• Building relationships with clients and design teams, providing confident and clear technical advice.
• Mentoring, guiding, and supporting junior engineers and graduates.
• Depending on experience, contributing to business development activities and helping to grow our client base.
• A background in fire engineering, ideally within a consultancy environment.
• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Fire Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Working towards, or already holding, Chartered Engineer status is a plus.
• Experience levels from Graduate through to Technical Director will be considered.
• Right to work in the UK.
