Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking Inspectors to perform routine inspections and tests on fire alarm and associated life safety systems across customer sites. The role requires physical work, documentation, and adherence to safety policies.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or equivalent and aim to obtain NICET I within one year. A valid driver's license and basic MS Office skills are required to support reporting and coordination.

Responsibilities

• Inspect fire alarm, electrical, sprinkler or suppression life safety lines and related products.
• Test and inspect systems for existing and new customer base; maintain documentation.
• Follow safety policies, procedures and written instructions.
• Carry/move equipment and tools up to 70 lbs; work from ladders or scaffolding as needed.
• Adhere to safe, professional work practices and keep area clean.

What you will do

• Inspectors are responsible for conducting routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on Electrical, Sprinkler or Suppression life safety product lines as well as similar competitive manufacturers’ product lines.

How you will do it

• Test and inspect fire alarm systems with existing and new customer base.
• Maintain proper documentation for work performed using tools provided.
• Must adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• Carry/move equipment and tools weighing up to 70lbs.
• Perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions; such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment.
• Must be able to work alternative shifts or weekends to meet customer needs.
• Must perform all duties in a safe and professional manner & maintain a clean and safe work area.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $21-28 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
