Job Posting: Fire Captain – Department of Forestry & Fire Protection. Salary: $5,934.00 to $8,483.00 per month.
Demonstrate good judgment in emergency situations, willingness to live and work in isolated areas, work weekends/holidays, remain on duty 24 hours a day as required, emotional stability, demonstrated leadership ability, high standards of morals and speech, satisfactory record as a law‑abiding citizen, proper vision test results, color vision adequate for the job, normal hearing, and physical strength/agility.
Applicants must meet the Minimum Qualifications stated in the Classification Specification(s).
Salary Range A: $5,934.00 – $7,694.00 per month (<$97,416 – $126,323 annually).
Salary Range B: $6,513.00 – $8,483.00 per month (<$106,925 – $139,275 annually).
Extended Duty Week Compensation: Range A $2,016.00 – $2,615.00 every 4 weeks; Range B $2,213.00 – $2,883.00 every 4 weeks.
Employees are eligible for medical, dental, vision benefits and may be eligible for other pay differentials.
