FIREPLUS is expanding, and we’re looking for a Fire and Smoke Damper Inspector to join our team! This role is perfect for detail-oriented professionals who want to work in a critical life safety field while traveling across the country.

About the Role:

As a Fire and Smoke Damper Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire, smoke, and combination dampers in accordance with NFPA 80 & NFPA 105 standards. This role requires extensive travel across the U.S., with assignments keeping you on the road for up to 10 days at a time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct operational, acceptance, and periodic testing of fire and smoke dampers in hospitals, surgery centers, and other facilities.
• Ensure dampers fully open and close as required, are free from obstructions, and meet compliance standards.
• Verify that actuated dampers respond correctly to power/air pressure changes.
• Inspect fusible links, latches, and indicating devices to confirm proper functionality.
• Document and report inspection findings in compliance with NFPA regulations.

What We’re Looking For:

Experience in fire damper, smoke damper, or HVAC inspection.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow NFPA standards.

Comfortable working in confined spaces and on ladders.

Willingness to travel nationwide and be away from home for up to 10 days per trip.

Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with clients and team members.
