Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Fire Alarm Technician to join our Denver-area team. You will install, maintain, test, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems across commercial projects, working with low voltage electrical systems, CCTV, intrusion, and access control.

You’ll read blueprints, operate test equipment, climb up to 40 feet in ductwork or on scaffolding, and deliver strong customer service. A High School Diploma is required; a Fire Alarm License is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in low voltage electrical systems including Fire Alarm, CCTV, Intrusion systems, and Access Control.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and manuals.
• Proficient with test equipment: multimeter, digital analyzer, commissioning devices.
• Ability to work in challenging positions (up to 40 ft); ladders, scaffolding, ducts, crawl spaces.
• Fire Alarm License is preferred.
• Proven problem-solving and technical understanding.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills and a positive attitude.
• Experience in fire alarm installation, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting.
• In-depth understanding of electrical systems and fire safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems per industry standards and codes.
• Perform system tests and inspections to ensure operability.
• Read and interpret blueprints, submittals, and manuals.
• Use test equipment such as multimeter, digital analyzer, and commissioning devices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to fire alarm systems.
• Work in unusual positions (up to 40 ft) including ladders, scaffolding, ducts, and above ceilings.
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing client concerns.
• Maintain up-to-date fire safety knowledge.
