Job summary

Control Systems, Inc in Arlington, TX seeks Fire Alarm Service Technicians and Inspectors to inspect, test, service, troubleshoot and repair fire alarm systems on customer sites.

The roles require knowledge of Edwards/EST, Kidde, Notifier, FireLite, Bosch, Silent Knight, DSC, Telguard, and Gamewell/FCI, plus a Texas Fire Alarm License, clean driving record, and strong communication. Weekly pay and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Applicants must meet background and driving record requirements.
• Proficient in the use and application of industry equipment including MS Office.
• Excellent communication skills, using tact and diplomacy with customers.

Responsibilities

• Inspectors shall perform all inspections, testing and some repair tasks on fire alarm systems.
• Service technicians shall respond to scheduled and emergency service requests and perform troubleshooting, repair and replacement of system equipment.
• Technicians may program fire alarm systems or have experience with low voltage systems including fire alarm, nurse call, access control, security, or CCTV.
• Frequent problem resolution through research of multiple alternatives.
• Communicate effectively with other contractors and building owners.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and manuals.
• Assist customers on site with questions and concerns and provide timely, professional updates to management.
• Complete company paperwork as required.
• Experience with Edwards/EST, Kidde, Notifier, FireLite, Bosch, Silent Knight, DSC, Telguard, Gamewell/FCI preferred.
