Fire Equipment Inc. is currently seeking a Licensed Fire Alarm Technician. This position requires the ability to service, inspect and repair fire alarm systems for established customers on a scheduled basis. Job duties include conducting service calls, systems testing and inspections to the prescribed standards, performing on-site emergency troubleshooting and repairs, identifying code issues and non-conformance issues, and preparing accurate and timely service tickets and reports.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Perform on-site service, inspect and repair fire alarms for established customers on a scheduled basis.
  2. Conduct service calls, systems testing and inspections to the prescribed standards.
  3. Perform on-site emergency troubleshooting and repairs.
  4. Identify code issues and non-conformance issues.
  5. Program fire alarm panels.
  6. Prepare accurate, timely and detailed service tickets and reports.
  7. Present a professional appearance and conduct while interacting with and providing solutions to customers.

Qualifications

  1. Must have a valid MA Class D Low Voltage License. MA Electrician license preferred. Also having a RI or CT Fire Alarm License preferred.
  2. Knowledge of applicable fire codes and regulations.
  3. Ability to be available on-call when scheduled.
  4. Effective communication skills.

Education and Certification Requirements

  1. MA Fire Alarm License or Electrician License.
  2. Valid Drivers License required.
  3. High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  4. OSHA 10 card.
