Job summary

Impact Fire Services, LLC is seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Technician to install, service and troubleshoot fire alarm systems from our Southborough district office. The role requires a Massachusetts Class D Electrical License and 3–5 years of related experience, with NICET training preferred.

You will read blueprints, coordinate with fire departments, and ensure compliance with NFPA standards. We offer competitive benefits, weekly pay, and a $3,000 sign-on bonus based on experience.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician or MA Class D Electrical License required.
• 3–5 years related fire alarm experience.
• NICET or equivalent training from manufacturers or institutions.
• Working knowledge of NFPA 72.
• Experience reading blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specs, programs.
• Proficiency with PCs including MS Excel/Word and mobile apps.
• Flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Service, install, maintain, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems per federal, state, local requirements.
• Read fire alarm data sheets and manuals; interpret blueprints as needed.
• Coordinate installations with fire departments and manage notification records.
• Maintain safety and cleanup of installations; minimize waste and damage.
• Meet daily/weekly service and productivity goals; mentor others.

Position is located out of our Southborough District Office.

$3,000 Sign-On-Bonus based on experience!!!

Responsibilities include

• Service, install, perform maintenance, and troubleshoot on a variety of fire alarm systems in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements.
• Read fire alarm data sheets, system manuals, blueprints as required.
• Coordinate installations with fire departments and handle necessary records for notification of emergency calls.
• Work safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property, loss of unused materials and clean up installation debris.
• Meet daily/weekly service and productivity goals.
• Serve as a mentor and share knowledge/experience with others.
• Perform administrative duties including completing service acknowledgements, NFPA Record of completion documents and other supporting documentation.
• Maintain a fully stocked company vehicle in order to provide the best customer service with as few return trips as necessary.

Qualifications include

• Journeyman Electrician or Massachusetts Class D Electrical License required
• Minimum 3-5 years related fire alarm experience either in the fire protection industry or the commercial customer service business.
• NICET or equivalent training from manufacturers or institutions.
• Working knowledge of NFPA 72.
• Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, programs schematics and operational/product manuals.
• Proficiency with using PCs including working knowledge of MS Excel / Word as well as iPhone/iPad apps.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements. as needed.
• A strong work ethic and professional appearance.
• Ability to work within a team environment.
• Strong working knowledge of NFPA codes.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements.

Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening is required. MVR checks are required for all driving positions.
