Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Fire Alarm Technician to install, program, start-up, and commission state-of-the-art fire alarm equipment across the Albuquerque area. You will engage with customers to ensure safe, compliant systems and provide essential documentation for as-built drawings.

The role emphasizes field duties, training customers on operations, coordinating with contractors, and adherence to safety policies. OSHA guidelines and NICET progression are integral to success.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in installation and/or maintenance of commercial fire alarm systems.
• Must differentiate types/colors of wire; use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; lift up to 75 pounds.
• Must obtain NICET Fire Alarm Certification Level II within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Operational Testing, Verification, and Acceptance; run reports, conduct final inspections and testing; support AHJ.
• Assist in customer training on system operations and provide plans and documents; identify code issues and make installation recommendations.
• Coordinate with schedulers and trade contractors to ensure start-up services and compliance with safety policies.
