Job summary

The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine is seeking a Fire Alarm Systems Technician to install, support, monitor, and maintain campus fire alarm systems. As designated Essential Personnel, you will work nights, weekends, and holidays, with a rotating 10-hour shift between day and night hours.

Uniforms and tools are provided. Qualifications include vocational or technical training in electrical technology and at least two years of relevant experience, plus state operator’s license and

Qualifications

Vocational or technical training in electrical technology or related field.
Two (2) years of relevant work experience can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, replace, service and test fire system components per codes and policies.
Monitor systems, troubleshoot and refer problems as needed.
Inspect equipment and perform preventive maintenance with proper documentation.
Act as emergency responder liaison during non-business hours and campus emergencies.
On-call and overtime may be required; work rotating day/night shifts.
