Job summary

Specialized Fire & Security is seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Technician in our Atlanta, GA office to install, commission, service, and support fire alarm systems for customers. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, on-site installations, and ongoing training for customer personnel.

The role requires 3+ years’ experience in fire safety products, knowledge of fire alarm programming, and NICET Level I certification. Florida FASA cert noted, with on-call and 2nd/3rd shift availability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years installing and maintaining fire safety products.
• Knowledge of fire alarm system programming.
• Strong reading of architectural and engineering drawings.
• NICET Certification Level I or equivalent.
• Licensure/authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with contractors during installation of fire alarm systems.
• Perform system commissioning including loading software and modifications.
• Conduct testing and inspection under maintenance agreements.
• Troubleshoot and repair network hardware/software issues.
• Identify code and non-conformance issues and report findings.
• Generate detailed daily activity reports using company software.
• Support emergency on-call and 2nd & 3rd shift work.
