Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Fire Alarm and Fire Suppression Technician in the United States to install, program, configure, commission and service systems at customer sites, including Simplex, Fike, Kidde, Inergen, and FM-200. You will read blueprints, coordinate with trades, train customers on operation, maintain documentation, and support on-call rotations while complying with OSHA safety policies.

Requires three years of low voltage experience, high school diploma, ability to lift 50-70

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Three years documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety.
• Experience reading blueprints, submittals and manuals.
• Ability to lift 50-70 lbs and perform physical labor.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, configure, commission and service fire alarm and fire suppression systems at customer sites.
• Read blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications and manuals.
• Coordinate installation with trades to optimize time and ensure safety.
• Train customers on system operation and conduct on-site demonstrations.
• Adhere to OSHA safety policies and participate in on-call rotation.
