Siemens AG in the Orlando area is seeking a Fire Alarm Technician to join our Winter Park branch. You will participate in installation, programming, start-up, and commissioning of fire alarm equipment and field peripherals, interfacing with customers to ensure safety and reliability.

The role requires electro-mechanical experience, ability to differentiate wire types, and proficiency with laptops, smartphones, and tablet devices.

Qualifications

• Electro-mechanical experience and user PC/software skill; proficient in Microsoft Office
• Must be willing and able to differentiate types/colors of wire; use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted
• Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle program
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Fire Alarm T echnicians

play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our Smart Buildings. You will p articipate in the installation, programming, start-up, and commissioning of state-of-the-art fire alarm equipment, including fire safety, mass notification, detectors, and field peripherals. Our Fire Alarm Technicians are the face of Siemens, and your expertise and regular interacti on with the customer will help keep their building s and inhabitants safe.

As aFire Alarm Technician, you will:

• Assist with the commissioning of new fire alarm systems on construction ensuring seamless integration
• Assist with testing and inspecting of existing fire alarm systems
• Plan work with mentor, Lead Technician, and Team Leader
• Complete commissioning within planned timelines

You will make an impact with these qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• E lectro-mechanical experience ( e ither from a previous role or through education) and user PC/software skill; proficient in Microsoft Office
• Must be willing and able to differentiate types/colors of wire; use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted
• Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations ; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle program

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or state-recognized GED; Associate degree in electronics or related field preferred
• Ability to read/understand design and construction documents

The pay range for this position is$38,904 - $66,692 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
