Job summary

Siemens seeks a Senior Fire Alarm Systems Service Technician to maintain and service commercial fire alarm systems in ourSmart Buildings network serving the Philadelphia region. You will inspect, test, and repair systems under maintenance agreements and mentor junior technicians to promote growth.

The role requires NICET II certification within 12 months and a valid US driver’s license. You will coordinate with Leads and Supervisors on tasks and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in installation/maintenance of commercial fire alarm systems.
• Ability to differentiate wire types/colors, use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; lift up to 75 pounds.
• Must obtain NICET II Fire Alarm Certification within 12 months.
• Ability to read/understand design and construction documents.
• Demonstrated ability to use a digital multimeter for basic electrical measurements.
• Must be 18+ with a valid driver's license and eligible for Siemens fleet vehicle program.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

**Senior** **Fire** **Alarm** **Systems** **Service** **Technicians** play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our Smart Buildings. You will be responsible for the service and maintenance of commercial fire alarm systems. You will ensure that components are inspected, tested, operated, and maintained according to the operational requirements of the customer.In addition to your primary responsibilities, you will also act as a mentor, providing on-the-job training to less experienced technicians, fostering a culture of growth and knowledge-sharing within our team.Our Fire Alarm Service Technicians are the face of Siemens,and your expertise and regular interaction with the customer will help keep their buildings and inhabitants safe.

As a Senior Fire Alarm Systems Service Technician, you will:

• Execute comprehensive testing and inspections for systems under maintenance agreements.
• Create detailed test and inspection reports based on code requirements and customer needs
• Swiftly respond to, troubleshoot, and complete necessary repairs to maintain system functionality. Report on activities completed, deferred, or requiring further action or material
• Identify code and non-conformance issues, ensuring adherence to required standards
• Quote small repair jobs and provide detailed parts and labor requirements to estimators and sales for large repair projects
• Plan work with Lead Technicians and Supervisors to strategize tasks effectively

You will make an impact with these qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience (SR) or 1+ year (Mid) in the installation and/or maintenance of commercial fire alarm systems
• Must be willing and able to differentiate types/colors of wire, use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet, carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 poundsunassisted
• Must obtain NICET II Fire Alarm Certification within 12 months – supported by Siemens
• Must be able to demonstrate the ability to read/understand design and construction documents
• Demonstrated ability to use a digital multimeter to perform basic electrical measurements, including voltage and resistance (ohms) testing.
• Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens’ fleet vehicle program
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or state-recognized GED; Associate degree in electronics or related field preferred
• 5+ years’ experience in the installation and/or maintenance of commercial fire alarm systems
• NICET II certification

The pay range for this position is $62,761 – $107,590 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
