Job summary

Jensen Hughes is seeking highly experienced Fire Alarm System Designers/Consultants to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. This role supports fast-paced projects through consulting, design, review and field oversight at a large facility, requiring deep technical depth and strong client interaction.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years' experience in fire alarm design or inspection, with proficiency in REVIT/AutoCAD and knowledge of NFPA codes. NICET certification is preferred.

Qualifications

Five or more years of progressive experience in fire alarm system design, consulting, or inspection.
Proficiency with REVIT and AutoCAD for detailed drawings.
NICET certification in Fire Alarm Systems preferred; NICET II or higher preferred.
Strong working knowledge of NFPA codes, life safety standards, and local jurisdictional requirements.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with clients and teams.

Responsibilities

Lead and execute fire alarm and/or mass notification system design from concept through construction, including layouts, riser diagrams, sequences, and calculations.
Develop detailed, code-compliant drawings and technical reports using REVIT and AutoCAD.
Review architectural/engineering drawings for life safety and code compliance.
