Job summary

Staffmark Group in Destin, FL seeks a Fire Alarm System Mechanic for installation, inspection, testing and repair of fire/life safety systems in healthcare facilities. You will service multiple manufacturers, interpret drawings, and ensure NFPA compliance.

This direct hire role offers day shifts and competitive pay. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, NICET II, NEBB/AABC, and 3+ years in low-voltage fire protection with knowledge of NFPA standards; healthcare facility experience

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred unless otherwise specified.
NICET Level II certification in applicable fire protection discipline.
NEBB or AABC Certification required.
Experience in healthcare facilities is required (3+ years).
3+ years installing, testing, and servicing low-voltage fire/life safety systems.

Responsibilities

Install, inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair fire alarm and life safety systems.
Service and maintain fire alarm systems from multiple manufacturers.
Inspect and test fire alarm equipment and water-based suppression systems.
Complete NFPA inspection and testing reports and document deficiencies.
Perform monthly testing of electric fire pumps and suppression system components.
Support NFPA, Joint Commission, and healthcare facility requirements.
Train maintenance staff on fire alarm operation and basic maintenance.
Provide professional customer support and technical assistance.
