Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking a Fire Alarm Service Technician to independently perform core service and maintenance tasks on fire alarm systems across commercial, industrial, and construction environments.

The role requires a high school diploma and 3+ years in the fire and life safety field, with NICET Level I+ preferred. Candidates must work well independently, diagnose issues, and complete accurate service reports while adhering to codes and company policies.

• NICET Level I or above preferred.
• Strong understanding of fire alarm systems, components, and troubleshooting methods.
• Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• If Driving Role: Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

The Fire Alarm Service Technician is a role responsible for independently performing core technical functions related to the service of fire alarm systems. This position is capable of completing standard service and maintenance tasks without direct supervision. The technician applies industry knowledge, troubleshooting skills, and best practices to ensure systems are operating in compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Other Duties:

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods.
• Work performed in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.

Pay Rate:

$30 to $40 hourly based on experience.
