We now specialize in sprinkler system testing, repair and installation, kitchen and restaurant systems, fire alarm design, installation and service, backflow prevention devices, full service alarm monitoring, fire pump repair and installation, and underground hydrant repairs and installation, among the many services we offer.

Responsibilities
  • Perform fire alarm system repairs, maintenance, upgrades, and replace defective parts
  • Perform programming on fire alarm systems
  • Use device manuals to repair non-functioning fire alarms and restore fire alarms to original functionality
  • Feed cables through access holes, roof spaces, or cavity walls to reach fixture outlets, positioning and terminating cables, wires or strappings
  • Repair circuits and sensors, following wiring and system specifications
  • Ensure compliance to fire and electrical codes
  • Demonstrate systems for customers and explains causes and consequences of false alarms
  • Educate customers on preventative care and regular maintenance to prevent system malfunctions
  • Communicate daily with service supervisor and/ or dispatchers on project delays, requirements and general status of job
  • Keep tools and equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, etc.
  • Complete and produce reports that are legible, accurate and detailed
  • Invoice paperwork in a timely manner
  • Stay current with code requirements and industry changes
  • Attend and complete all required safety training
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or required
Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Three (3) years prior relevant work experience
  • Ability to travel to multiple job sites each day
  • Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders multiples times a day
  • High precision/ detail-oriented; ability to use a computer and read blueprints
  • Decent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work independently, with little supervision
  • Knowledge of fire systems and tools
  • Does not take short-cuts: work effectively and efficiently while performing all aspects of the required job
  • Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions - climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet

  • CSA Certification
  • NICET Certification
  • OSHA Certification
  • Knowledge working in Profit Zoom, Building Reports, and Paylocity
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
