Oliver Fire Protection & Security is hiring a Fire Alarm Service/Install Technician in Central/North New Jersey. This entry-level position offers a starting salary of $15.00 per hour, increasing with experience. Responsibilities include service and installation of fire alarm systems, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Medical, dental, and prescription benefits are available after 30 days. Technicians receive company vehicles once they can work independently. Training is provided to advance to a lead technician role.
Qualifications
Proficient in installation methods, materials, fire and building codes, and design standards.
Knowledge of panel programming software (not brand specific).
Valid driver’s license required.
Computer literacy necessary.
Entry-level applications will be considered.
Responsibilities
Service fire alarm systems, including device replacement and repairs.
Program fire alarm systems per specifications and code requirements.
Install fire alarm systems, including wiring and conduit installation.
Conduct NFPA 72 inspection/testing of fire alarm systems.
Complete required paperwork related to service calls and repairs.
Participate in the on-call schedule for after-hours services.
