Job summary

The Hiller Companies, LLC has an opening for a Fire Alarm/Low Voltage Electrical Install Technician based at the Palo Verde Power Generating Station in Tonopah, AZ. The technician will install, inspect, maintain and repair fire alarm and life-safety systems in accordance with NFPA codes and local regulations.

Responsibilities include wiring, sensor installation, FACP programming, reading blueprints and schematics, and coordinating with site staff to ensure timely, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
• Technical or vocational training in low voltage electrical, fire alarm systems or related field preferred.
• Prior experience installing fire alarm or other low voltage electrical systems or closely related experience, with lead tech experience a plus.
• NICET Certifications strongly preferred.
• State fire alarm licensing preferred, or ability to acquire.

Responsibilities

• Install Fire Alarm systems, control panels and equipment per drawings and plans.
• Mount sensors and access locations for optimal wiring layouts.
• Program and configure FACPs using manufacturer software.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, manuals.
• Manage job scheduling and progress with focus on quality.
• Ensure compliance with codes and regulations.
