Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking a Fire Alarm/Low Voltage Helper to join our growing team. The helper will assist with routine installation and checkout on a variety of systems, following codes, company procedures, and engineering drawings.

A positive interface with customers ensures confidence and satisfaction with the installation. The role emphasizes learning in the fire-life safety field, working with safety standards, and contributing to quality installations across fire alarm,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Interest in learning and growing in the fire-life safety industry.
• Good organizational, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Ability to work overtime and travel out of town if needed.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and with urgency.
• Ability to work independently with some supervision.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and ability to obtain OSHA 10.
• Ability to learn and safely use standard trade tools.

THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELL

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking a Fire Alarm/Low Voltage Helper to join our growing team of professionals. The helper will assist with routine installation and checkout on a variety of systems utilizing codes, company procedures, engineering drawings, and personnel analysis. Develops a positive interface with the customer to ensure confidence and satisfaction with the system installation.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (and doing well!)

• Utilizes electrical tools and meters.
• Aids with conduit & wire installation.
• Assist with device installation (i.e., fire alarm/security devices).
• Assist with installation of fire alarm, voice/data, and security systems.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Comply with standards and procedures of industry and Sciens safety programs/policies.

WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU!
