Sciens Building Solutions in Trenton, NJ is hiring a Fire Alarm/Low Voltage Helper. The role assists with installation and checkout of fire alarm, voice/data, and security systems, using standard tools and drawings to ensure quality work and customer satisfaction.

You will develop skills in low voltage installations, work with a safety-focused team, and have opportunities for overtime and travel as needed. Competitive benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Interest in learning and growing in the fire-life safety industry.
• Strong organizational, decision-making and communication skills.
• Ability to work overtime and out of town if needed.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to work independently with some supervision.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and ability to obtain OSHA 10.
• Physically fit to lift up to 25 pounds, up to 50 pounds occasionally, and climb ladders.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine installation and checkout on fire alarm and low-voltage systems.
• Utilize electrical tools, meters, and conduit/wire installation as needed.
• Assist with device installation for fire alarm, voice/data, and security systems.
• Follow company procedures and engineering drawings during installations.
• Maintain safety standards and adherence to Sciens safety policies.
