Job summary

MSS Solutions, LLC in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Fire Alarm Installer with hands-on experience to install and wire fire alarm systems and related access control equipment. Reading plans and drawings, supporting others, and assisting in troubleshooting are part of the role.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of field experience, can pass a background check, and brings NEC/NFPA knowledge. OSHA 10 certification is preferred, and MSS values teamwork and dependable customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience installing and/or testing fire alarm systems.
• Must pass a background check.
• NEC/NFPA knowledge is preferred.
• Strong communication skills to interface with customers.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install and wire fire alarm systems.
• Install access control equipment.
• Read plans and drawings.
• Support other technicians with system point checks.
• Assist in troubleshooting installations.
• Maintain customer satisfaction and perform other duties as assigned.

Role and Responsibilities

The job duties and responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Installation and wiring of fire alarm systems.
• Installation of access control equipment.
• Reading plans and drawings.
• Support other technician with system point checks.
• Assist in the troubleshooting of installations.

• Maintain customer satisfaction for continual company growth
• Other such duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Company from time to time.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Successful candidate must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience installing and/or testing, inspecting, and performing minor repairs on a variety of fire alarm systems or a combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job listed above.
• Must successfully pass a background check.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledgeable of NEC & NFPA codes and regulations.
• Good communication skills to interface with customers. Experience working on commercial and institutional facilities.
• OSHA 10 certification.
