Pye-Barker Fire & Safety in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Fire Alarm Install Technician who can independently perform core installation tasks for fire alarm systems. You will work with plans, specifications, and codes while contributing to project success.

The role requires 3+ years in fire and life safety, ability to read blueprints, and a clean driving record. Travel to job sites is required, and the company offers comprehensive benefits and career development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician.
• Ability to work independently on standard installation jobs.
• Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems, installation practices and applicable codes.
• NICET Level I or above preferred; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Independently install fire alarm systems per plans, specs, and codes.
• Complete standard installations without supervision.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, drawings.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
• Coordinate with team, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work.
• Train and support entry-level technicians and apprentices.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Fire Alarm Install Technician is capable of independently performing core installation tasks for fire alarm systems. This role is responsible for completing standard installation jobs, without direct supervision, while ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and company quality expectations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Independently install fire alarm systems in accordance with plans, specifications, and applicable codes.
• Complete standard installation projects without direct supervision.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies.
• Coordinate with team members, contractors, and project stakeholders as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed.
• Train and support entry-level technicians and apprentices as needed.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Education/Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently on standard installation jobs.
• Strong understanding of fire alarm systems, installation practices, and applicable codes.
• NICET Level I or above preferred.
• Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license.

Physical Requirements
