Job summary

The Hiller Companies, LLC is seeking a Fire Alarm Install Technician to install, maintain and repair fire alarm and life safety systems. You will work from drawings, specs and codes to ensure safe, reliable systems and timely project completion.

Responsibilities include mounting sensors, wiring, configuring FACPs, and documenting work while adhering to safety standards. Travel to client sites may be required; NICET certifications and programming skills are highly valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Technical/vocational training in fire alarm systems preferred.
• NICET certification and programming experience strongly preferred.
• Valid driver''s license and willingness to travel to client sites.
• Knowledge of NFPA 72 and applicable fire codes.

Responsibilities

• Install Fire Alarm systems, control panels and equipment per drawings and layouts.
• Mount sensors and perform cabling tasks for proper wiring layouts.
• Program and configure FACPs using manufacturer software.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specs and manuals.
• Manage scheduling and progress with focus on quality and cost efficiency.
• Inspect sites and determine material needs and installation procedures.
• Submit all task-related documentation in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
• Support production efficiency with awareness of labor hours vs budget.
• Follow safety regulations and maintain equipment care and maintenance.
