Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking a Fire Alarm Test & Inspect Technician to independently perform inspection, testing, and basic troubleshooting of fire alarm systems at various job sites. The role requires documenting results, communicating findings, and traveling as needed.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 3+ years in fire and life safety, NFPA 72 knowledge, and strong problem-solving skills. NICET I+ preferred; safety policies apply.

Qualifications

• Independently perform fire alarm inspections and testing per NFPA standards and local codes.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of NFPA 72 and applicable codes.
• Interpret system drawings, layouts, and technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform fire alarm inspections and testing per NFPA standards and local codes.
• Document inspection and testing results accurately.
• Identify deficiencies and perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs.
