Job summary

Impact Fire Services in Williston, VT is seeking a self-motivated Inspector with a minimum of 2 years of experience with fire alarm systems to join our growing team. This on-site role emphasizes professional communication and building positive customer relationships at our Williston district office.

The Inspector will conduct routine inspections, testing, service, and preventive maintenance on electrical, mechanical, fire suppression, and life safety systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of documented experience with fire alarm systems.
• Vermont FA TQP certification.
• Experience reading blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications.
• Proficient with hand tools and multi-meter usage.
• Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs and physical labor as needed.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections, testing, service and preventive maintenance on Electrical, Mechanical, Fire Suppression, Fire Detection and life safety product lines.
• Work with low voltage wiring and related devices for operation of low voltage equipment.
• Complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding via tablet.
• Follow and maintain a structured inspection schedule.
• Input, retrieve and archive inspection documents via tablet.
• Make minor repairs and programming changes with minimal supervision.
• Provide technical training to less senior inspectors and trainees.
• Complete assigned inspections on time.
