Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a skilled installer/service professional in Raleigh to test and inspect fire alarm systems for a broad customer base. You will maintain thorough documentation, adhere to safety policies, and perform physically demanding tasks as part of field work.

The ideal candidate has fire alarm equipment experience, strong communication, and the ability to work with limited supervision. A high school diploma and a valid driver’s license are required, with a competitive benefits

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License with good driving record.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Basic computer skills – Microsoft (Excel, Word, Outlook) along with SmartPhone skills.
• Installation or Service Experience in testing and inspecting Fire Alarm Equipment.

Responsibilities

• Test and inspect fire alarm systems with existing and new customer base.
• Maintain proper documentation for work performed using tools provided.
• Must adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• Carry/move equipment and tools weighing up to 70lbs.
• Perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions; such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment.
• Must be able to work alternative shifts or weekends to meet customer needs.
• Must perform all duties in a safe and professional manner & maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Must have a valid drivers license.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $20-$25 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
