Job summary

Firetrol Protection Systems, Inc. is seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Inspector to join our team of fire protection professionals.

The role involves routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance of fire protection systems with minimal supervision. You will interact with customers at hospitals, schools, government and commercial facilities, document inspections, provide reports and recommended actions, and maintain required state licenses.

Qualifications

• Must possess or be willing to obtain applicable state licenses for fire alarm systems.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Pass a drug test.
• Pass a background check.
• Must have fire alarm license.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance of fire protection systems with minimal supervision.
• Interact face-to-face with customers at facilities such as hospitals, schools, and government buildings.
• Document all inspections and information needed to perform repairs.
• Provide detailed reports and recommended corrective actions to customers.
• Work independently with other team members and communicate effectively with customers, technicians, sales personnel, and managers.

Job description

Founded in 1984, Firetrol is the national leader in fire protection & life safety services. We are currently seeking skilled Fire Alarm Inspector to join our team of the best fire protection professionals in the industry.

• Perform routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance of fire protection systems with minimal supervision
• This role requires regular face-to-face interaction with customers in locations like hospitals, nursing homes, k-12 education, colleges, restaurants, military installations, government buildings, commercial buildings and multi-family residential properties. Contact with members of the public may also occur with varying frequency depending on the type of facility where inspections are performed.
• Excellent verbal communication skills required to work with customers, technicians, sales personnel, and managers.
• Work independently, as well, with other team members.
• Diagnose and evaluate systems that require servicing as well as troubleshoot issues that arise during inspections
• Properly document all inspections and other information needed to perform repairs
• Provide detailed reports and recommended corrective actions to the customer
• Must possess or be willing to obtain any applicable state licenses.
• Work includes climbing ladders, climbing stairs, lifting at least 50lbs, walking long distances to reach all areas of buildings where inspections must be performed.
