Job summary

Alert Alarm Hawaii is hiring experienced Fire Alarm Technicians for our Maui team. Relocate to Maui with a relocation payment, or join on a travel rotation with airfare, lodging, and per diem provided.

You will work on networked panels, voice evacuation, and complex interfaces across Maui. We seek technicians with NICET II+ in Fire Alarm Systems, hands-on experience with commercial fire alarm systems, and the ability to troubleshoot independently.

Qualifications

• NICET Level II or higher in Fire Alarm Systems or Inspection and Testing is strongly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with commercial fire alarm systems.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain fire alarm and life-safety systems.
• Read and interpret drawings, wiring diagrams, riser diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Diagnose system troubles, false alarms, communication failures, and defective devices.
• Perform repairs, functional testing, and system verification under NFPA standards, adopted codes, manufacturer requirements, and company procedures.
• Document deficiencies, recommend corrective actions, and explain findings to customers.
• Complete accurate inspection reports, service tickets, and time entries.

• Relocate to Maui. We provide a relocation payment to help you make the move.
• Travel rotation. Keep your home base and work in Maui on scheduled rotations. We cover airfare, lodging, and per diem, and your travel time is paid.

What You'll Do

What You Bring

• Ability to troubleshoot independently.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Manufacturer certifications are a plus.

Pay and Benefits

• $30 to $45/hour, based on experience and certifications
• $15,000 relocation payment, or paid travel, lodging, and per diem for rotation

Work Environment
