Encore Fire Protection is seeking a Fire Alarm Service Apprentice to begin a hands-on career protecting people and property. You’ll work with Journeyman technicians, learning layout, installation, testing, and service of fire alarm systems in real-world environments.

This entry-level role offers training opportunities and the potential to pursue state licenses or certifications required in your area as you grow in the trade.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and interest in learning a trade.
• Ability to take direction and follow through with limited supervision.
• Comfort working at heights and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Interest in construction or life safety trades.
• Basic experience using hand tools and reading simple drawings or blueprints is a plus.
• Willingness to attend training and pursue licenses/certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of qualified Journeyman technicians on active job sites.
• Help lay out, assemble, install, test, inspect, maintain, and service fire alarm systems.
• Learn to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain fire alarm systems in line with NFPA standards.
• Follow instructions carefully and complete assigned tasks accurately, safely, and on time.
• Document work performed and communicate what you did and observed.
• Interact with customers, contractors, and team members professionally.
