Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety in Texas is seeking an Fire Alarm Support Technician (Apprentice) to help install and service fire alarm systems under direct supervision. You will learn industry practices, tools, and safety procedures while supporting senior team members on site.

This entry-level role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a willingness to learn, and the ability to follow instructions. No prior experience is required, and you’ll gain hands-on experience in commercial,

The Fire Alarm Support Technician (Apprentice) is responsible for assisting with the installation and servicing of fire alarm systems under direct supervision. The technician will support senior team members in completing installation tasks while learning basic industry practices, tools, and safety procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist with the installation and service of fire alarm systems under direct supervision.
• Support senior technicians with daily job site tasks.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment under supervision.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Transport materials and equipment to job sites as needed.
• Learn and follow installation standards and code requirements.
• Work collaboratively with team members to complete assigned tasks.
• Perform work in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
• Adhere to instructions and guidance from supervisors at all times.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Education/Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
• Work performed in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
