Job summary

The Forest Stewards Guild seeks a full-time Fire Adapted Communities (FAC) Program Coordinator based in Santa Fe, NM. You will coordinate FACNM, support peer learning, and build relationships with diverse partners to advance wildfire adaptation across New Mexico and the Southwest.

Ideal candidates bring experience in coordinating educational programs, strong organizational skills, and knowledge of forestry or wildfire mitigation. Hybrid work arrangements are available, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science communication, forestry, environmental science, or related field, or five years of equivalent experience.
• Demonstrable experience in partnership building and collaborating with multiple diverse partners, stakeholders, and funders.
• Experience with program coordination.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and with a team.
• Self-direction and motivation.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Education, experience, or knowledge related to wildfire preparedness or mitigation.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the Fire Adapted New Mexico learning network (FACNM).
• Build FACNM through member recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding.
• Convene and facilitate bi-monthly connection calls and related events.
• Establish relationships with diverse project partners and funders in the region.
• Lead education and outreach activities for landowners, communities, and professionals.
• Assist with grant writing and reporting to funders.
