Qualifications

• 3+ years of QA/test engineering in backend financial or regulated systems.
• Proficiency in Python and pytest for test automation.
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong SQL skills for data validation and reconciliation.
• SOX/internal-controls testing experience with audit-ready evidence.
• Experience testing REST APIs with Postman/REST-assured or similar.
• Critical thinking and attention to detail; clear, audit-ready docs.
• Effective communicator across engineering, business, and audit.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Validate financial computations and reconcile data across layers with SQL.
• Translate requirements into executable test cases with developers and controls.
• Test maker-checker workflows and role-based access controls, including negatives.
• Test event-driven workflows and ensure message delivery and idempotency.
• Verify audit events for every state change with accurate timestamps.
• Test inbound/outbound data with systems of record for schema correctness.
• Produce audit-ready artifacts and evidence packages for external auditors.
• Track defects through lifecycle with traceability and closure.
• Maintain automated test suites and integrate into CI/CD per release.
• Generate test data and review logs across app, integration, and data layers.
• Participate in sprint ceremonies and production support as needed.
• Help establish QA processes, standards, and best practices.
