Job summary

Jefferies’ Financial Institutions Group (FIG) FinTech vertical in New York is seeking an Analyst or Associate to support high‑impact deals across market infrastructure and trading technology. You will work on origination and execution of M&A, IPOs, private placements, and strategic advisory mandates with deal teams and clients.

Responsibilities include financial modeling, valuations, preparing client materials, due diligence, and coordinating with legal and accounting advisors.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience for Analyst candidates; 3+ years for Associate candidates (investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or related financial services roles).
• Strong interest in market structure, trading technology, and capital markets innovation.
• Solid understanding of financial modeling, valuations, and transaction processes.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Performing company and industry research across market structure, trading technology, and capital markets platforms.
• Building and maintaining detailed financial models (DCF, trading comps, precedent transactions).
• Conducting valuation analyses and preparing supporting materials.
• Assisting in the preparation of client deliverables including pitchbooks, management presentations, CIMs, and investor materials.
• Supporting transaction execution, including due diligence coordination, process management, and interaction with legal, accounting, and technical advisors.
