Job summary

Con Edison seeks a Systems Specialist FinOps Engineer to establish and drive a new FinOps practice. You will build dashboards, analyze IT and cloud spending, and identify opportunities to optimize costs while maintaining performance.

Required is a strong analytical mindset, experience with data visualization (Power BI/Tableau), and the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and three years of relevant experience required.
• Associate's Degree and five years of relevant experience required.
• High School Diploma/GED and seven years of relevant experience required.
• Proven ability to develop dashboards and analyze IT and cloud spending.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain financial and operational dashboards for IT and cloud spending.
• Analyze datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and cost optimization opportunities.
• Evaluate infrastructure configurations and vendor contracts to reduce costs while preserving performance.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance to implement FinOps practices.
• Track, report, and forecast expenditures; provide leadership with insights for budgeting.
• Define and monitor KPIs related to infrastructure efficiency and cost management.
