Job summary

MCC, a global leader in premium labels, is seeking a Finishing Manager in York, Pennsylvania. You will oversee the Finishing Department, drive productivity, quality, and safety, and lead continuous improvement using Lean/VM tools in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will mentor teammates, manage capacity planning, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and push for operational excellence. Minimal travel; strong leadership and problem-solving required.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in scheduling and real-time operations management.
• Strong experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain or Fulfillment.
• Must have Lean Manufacturing experience.
• Demonstrated change-management leadership skills.
• Excellent strategic thinking, prioritization and safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead Finishing Department operations for safety, productivity and quality.

We are currently looking for a Finishing Manager to join our team! The Finishing Manager manages overall operations in the Finishing Department. Overall responsibility for the effective and successful leadership of labor, productivity, quality, and safety improvement. Ensures safe and efficient operations, enhances operational procedures, and drives continuous improvement through use of Lean/VM tools. Drives positive culture through active and timely involvement of teammates and resources.

Responsibilities:

• Highly skilled hands-on operations champion who focuses on increasing the level of customer satisfaction while improving the efficiency of manpower and materials, keeping safety as the number one priority.

• Trains, coaches and mentors teammates, supervisors, and other direct reports. Ensures subordinates support related initiatives for their employees in accordance with company management policies
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Minimum of High School Diploma, with some college education preferred
• Requires 5 plus years of progressively responsible experience, including scheduling and real time operations management
• Strong experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain or Fulfillment
• Must have Lean Manufacturing experience
• Demonstrated change management leadership skills
• Excellent strategic thinking skills
• Solid ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organization skills
• Exceptional problem resolution and analysis skills
• Attention to detail and a strong focus on safety and quality
• Prior experience with cross-functional teams
• Minimal travel as necessary

In-plant:

• The physical demands require standing, using hands to finger, feel and touch; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear.
• This position requires frequent walking. Occasionally employee is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision requirements are close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
