Job summary

Graphic Packaging International in Groveport, OH is seeking a Finishing Operator for the Folder Gluer Machine. The role involves setting up, adjusting, making-readies, and leading the machine crew to produce high-quality folding cartons while meeting run speeds and minimizing waste.

The operator will review job tickets, caliper, and special instructions, ensure Leary glue system is functional, and shut down safely when unattended. Night shift offers a $2/hour differential.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment.
• Good mathematical skills for measurements and tolerances.
• Ability to read and interpret job tickets and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust folding gluers and make-readies.
• Troubleshoot machine and quality issues to minimize downtime.
• Assist with maintenance and machine setups as needed.
• Complete product and process audits according to specs.
• Communicate information across shifts to ensure continuity.
• Adhere to quality specifications and safety rules.
• Identify improvements to reduce waste and downtime.
• Meet production schedules and timeframes.
• Lead crew to achieve production goals.
• Attend team meetings and train new team members.
• Differentiate colors accurately.
• Maintain clean and safe work area and enforce policies.
