Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Finishing Helper on the 1st shift to safely finish materials for our customers at the highest quality. This hands-on role supports production and packaging across our Chattanooga manufacturing site.

You will operate laminators, tape machines, shrink-wrappers and banders, help maintain production records, perform quality checks, and keep the work area clean and safe.

• Experience operating finishing equipment or similar packaging machinery.
• Ability to meet production schedules.
• Commitment to safety and cleanliness.
• Willingness to overtime as required.

Responsibilities

Finishing Helper – Chattanooga Manufacturing

Shift: 1st

Summary

The Finishing Helper position is responsible for safely performing a wide range of tasks that includes finishing materials for our customers at the very highest quality.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Review and complete project-based tasks for customers consisting of running laminators, tape machines, shrink-wrappers, banders etc.
• Assist with production records and reporting
• Assist on kit pack lines based on customer needs.
• Review and perform quality checks.
• Responsible for the overall safety and cleanliness of equipment and area.
• Responsible for meeting production schedule.
• Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policy and procedures.
• Must work overtime as required for the department.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
