Menk USA is seeking a Finishing team member to support our production with entry-level finishing tasks in Sterling, IL. You will learn foundational finishing processes such as shot blasting, paint prep, part prep, and sanding under supervision.

In this role you will inspect parts visually, operate finishing tools, and maintain a clean, safe work area while following PPE and safety procedures. The position emphasizes learning, growth, and teamwork on the shop floor.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 0–2 years of manufacturing or finishing experience preferred.
  • Exposure to overhead cranes or industrial lifts is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform entry-level finishing operations under guided instructions, including shot blasting, paint prep, part prep, and sanding.
  • Inspect parts visually and report defects.
  • Operate finishing tools and equipment (assisted use of flooding guns, pallet jacks, spray equipment).
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.
  • Complete the Finishing training matrix and cross-train in other finishing tasks as available.
  • Support operational needs while primarily assigned to one area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational goals.

Are you someone who enjoys hands-on work, learning new skills, and helping produce high-quality products? We're looking for a Finishingteam member who is ready to learn, grow, and support Menk USA's finishing operations.

The purpose of this role is to: The Finishing team member supports Menk USA's production by performing entry-level finishing tasks. This role focuses on foundational finishing processes such as shot blasting, paint prep, part prep, and sanding, and operates under supervision to help ensure quality and safety standards are met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform entry-level finishing operations under guided instructions, including shot blasting, paint prep, part prep, and sanding.

  • Inspect parts visually and report defects.

  • Operate finishing tools and equipment (assisted use of flooding guns, pallet jacks, spray equipment).

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

  • Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.

  • Complete the Finishing training matrix and cross-train in other finishing tasks as available.

  • Support operational needs while primarily assigned to one area.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational goals.

Skills:

Experience:

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to walk, stand, sit, stoop, squat, and kneel for extended periods.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds when required.

  • Ability to travel throughout the facility to perform job duties.

  • Ability to spend extended periods in a production environment.

  • Ability to lift and move materials using appropriate equipment.

  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.
