The Sofidel Group is seeking a Finished Goods Warehouse Operative for our Hamilton site in Leicester. You will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, managing goods storage, loading readiness, and daily warehouse operations to meet production demands in line with ISO 9001 standards.

We value teamwork, attention to detail and a proactive approach to safety and housekeeping while complying with health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must have prior experience in a manufacturing / production environment.
• Must hold a valid Fork Lift Truck / Counterbalance Licence.
• Must have experience driving a Fork Lift Truck.

Responsabilités

• Operate forklift trucks and other material handling equipment.
• Move pallets and stow them in storage bays.
• Manage warehouse operations following system requirements and instructions.
• Prepare loading area per schedule with correct load and signed documentation.
• Load trucks when required.
• Perform daily equipment checks and report faults.
• Ensure documentation is accurate and complete.
• Monitor products for damage or quality issues.
• Carry out periodic stocktaking and support teams.

THE ROLE

We are currently looking for a motivated and hard-working individual to join our logistics team as a Finished Goods Warehouse Operative. You will be working at our Hamilton in Leicester.

Working at a world leading company, you will gain experience working in a fast paced and driven manufacturing environment that is continually developing. The successful candidate will be working with a team of driven individuals to manage the goods storage in the warehouse and prepare the loading area to fulfil the high production demands in compliance with working instructions, safety guidelines and ISO 9001 standards.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES

• Operator forklift trucks and other material handling equipment such as reel clamps and PPTs.
• Move the pallets around the facility and stow them in the correct storage bays, ensuring space optimization.
• Manage the warehouse operations in line with the system requirements and work instructions.
• In compliance with the loading schedule prepare the loading area, ensuring load is correct and documentation is signed.
• Load trucks if and when required.
• Perform daily equipment checks identifying and reporting and damages and faults to maintain daily functioning.
• Ensure that all required documentation is completed efficiently and accurately.
• Observe the products to identify and report any product damage or quality deficiencies.
• Carry out periodic stocktaking activities and any other reasonable requests.
• Work closely and in cooperation with the Day services and Shift teams, supporting colleagues throughout.
• Continually ensure a high level of housekeeping is maintained throughout all working areas.
• Ensure Health & Safety rules are always adhered to by yourself and others.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must have prior experience in a manufacturing / production environment
• Must hold a valid Fork Lift Truck / Counterbalance Licence.

WORKING HOURS

Monday – Friday

14:00 - 22:00 – 37.5 hours per week
