Job summary

Allegion is seeking a Production Finish Welder for our Snoqualmie, WA facility. You will set up, fit, weld and finish parts across Technical Glass Products lines, with a schedule of Mon-Thu 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM and potential overtime.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, applying welding techniques, training teammates, and maintaining equipment. The role emphasizes safety and process adherence in a high-demand environment.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of MIG and/or TIG welding experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints and production drawings.
  • Proficiency with sanding and grinding techniques.
  • Detail-oriented with strong safety awareness.
  • Able to complete tasks within time constraints.

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding with MIG/TIG techniques with high attention to detail.
  • Coordinate with weld prep and scheduling for all work.
  • Check material for defects and verify dimensions.
  • Ensure all operations meet documented specifications.
  • Initiate corrective actions for NCRs and expedite production.
  • Operate equipment per SOP in a safe manner.
  • Maintain welding area and organize surrounding space.
  • Write required SOPs and train team members.
  • Finish metal parts using manual and power tools.
  • Perform periodic welding and finishing tests to maintain proficiency.
  • Provide exceptional service to internal teams.

Finish Welder - Technical Glass Products - Snoqualmie, WA

Allegion is seeking a Production Finish Welder to fulfill a full-time position in Snoqualmie, WA at our Technical Glass Products facility. The Finish Welder is responsible for set-up, fitting, welding and finishing preparation of all parts and assemblies that comprise TGP's product lines.

Schedule: Monday - Thursday 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM, overtime as needed

What You Will Do:
  • Perform assigned welding techniques with high attention to detail.
  • Coordinates with the supervisors or weld prep and scheduling position for all work.
  • Checks material for defects and correct dimensions.
  • Verifies all operations have been completed as specified on the documents.
  • Reports all issues and inconsistencies.
  • Uses Non-Conformance Reports (NCR's) for materials and operations not in compliance.
  • Initiates corrective actions to get NCR's resolved and get material back into production.
  • Expedites orders through welding as required.
  • Operates all equipment per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), in a safe manner.
  • Organizes & maintain the areas around the welding area.
  • Improves work flow, work processes or work procedures as needed.
  • Writes Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) is required.
  • Maintains equipment and tools as required by the manufacturer and as directed.
  • Trains additional team members.
  • Metal finishing work performed using manual and power tools.
  • Periodic welding AND finishing test required to keep current proficiency status.
  • Performs multiple operations simultaneously often required.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal team members.
What You Need to Succeed:
  • 2+ years of experience with MIG and/or TIG welding required
  • Proficiency with MIG and thin gauge welding techniques
  • Proficiency with sanding and grinding techniques
  • Attention to detail and the ability to read blueprints, production and technical drawings
  • Able to complete assigned tasks in a limited time frame
  • Strong organizational and math skills
  • Remains alert in a high-risk environment
  • Assesses priorities to determine what is urgently needed
  • Maintains schedule and tasks despite interruptions
Preferred:
  • WABO certification, Technical Degree in Welding
  • Experience in aluminum and/or metal finishing, stainless steel. Experience working with galvanized material
Physical Demands:
  • Manual Dexterity: Ability to handle parts and tools with precision.
  • Repetitive Motion: Perform repetitive motions such as bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, lifting, gripping, and grasping with hands.
  • Standing Duration: Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per shift.
  • Lifting Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Lift Assist Devices: Use of overhead crane and forklift with training may be required.
  • Environmental Exposure: Ability to work in environments with noise, chemicals, dust, sharp objects, moving/rotating mechanical parts, and temperature extremes.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Respirator, fall protection, welding hood, etc. may be required depending on job duty and/or work area

Employment Type: Full time, hourly non-exempt

Compensation: This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experiences. The expected Base Hourly Range: $27 - $29. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
